Martin Xu

Director, Technology

Martin Xu is the director of the China Technology practice group. With over 19 years of experience in technology communications, Martin has a wealth of knowledge, insight and experience. He leads his cross-office Beijing and Shanghai team of more than 15 to provide integrated communications and marketing work for established tech firms, such as HP, SAP, AMD, F5 and Elsevier; global internet unicorns, including Dynatrace and UiPath; and local internet companies, such as NetEase.

Prior to joining WE Red Bridge, Martin was with Fleishman-Hillard as head of the HP China PR team. Before that, he worked for Hill & Knowlton and led a team to service HP China’s PSG marketing SVSI and Commercial Products department. In addition to working on the agency side, Martin spent two years in-house as a PR manager at Sage China Software LTD., where he was responsible for driving communications to support business growth and reputation. Martin also understands the needs of editors and the shifting media landscape, having started his career at eWeek, rising from reporter to chief editor over a period of five years.

Martin holds a double bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering and a degree in business management from Beijing University of Technology.
